  • Convergence begins our reconciliation journey

Convergence is very excited to share that our Reconciliation Action Plan, developed with invaluable guidance from Reconciliation Australia, has been officially endorsed!

Starting September 2025, our RAP Working Group - Jenni, Deborah, and Elena - will be meeting regularly to strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, deepen our cultural understanding, and create more opportunities for collaboration. The plan builds on our existing practice of consulting with First Nations groups, while creating formal and meaningful pathways to expand these connections.

"As storytellers of Australian history working on unceded land, we have a responsibility to ensure First Nations voices are heard and respected in our work" says Jenni, our Director and RAP Champion.

  • MEETING GROUND: Territory Encounters opens to public

Library & Archives NT has officially relocated to their new space at Danala, within CDU’s precinct in the heart of Darwin.

This new home proudly features Convergence’s "Meeting Ground: Territory Encounters", a long-term exhibition that explores the diverse people, places, and histories that have shaped the Northern Territory.

Developed through a deep co-design process with LANT’s amazing team, the exhibition thoughtfully incorporates first-person voices to meaningfully connect past and present, people and place.

Great job, everyone! A huge thank you to LANT for joining us on this journey. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together!

  • Ned Kelly Discovery Hub WINNER of the 2024 Interpretation Australia National Award for Excellence

During the 2024 Interpretation Australia Annual Conference in Brisbane, Convergence was awarded IA’s National Award for Excellence for our interpretive work at the Ned Kelly Discovery Hub. We are very thankful to Interpretation Australia, who noted about our project:

“Set within and designed with a spectacular building, this interpretation encompasses the passion of the story it tells. It envelops the visitor within the story through placement and the selection of lighting and materials which enhance the indoor environment to be evocative of a slab hut in a bushland setting.”
